Zinedine Zidane wrote an open letter that may block him from a future job in Real Madrid. In the letter, he expresses the lack of trust from the Real Madrid board is the reason behind his resignation. He also shows his disappointment with the way the club treats him the last few months. Then, the question is why Zidane did the thing that might harm the relationship with the Real Madrid President, Florentino Pérez?

Zidane is one of the finest men that have ever represented Real Madrid, in his long journey with Los Merengues as a player and manager, he able to present both the Champions League and Spanish La Liga title for Real Madrid. His managerial career is a huge success after providing Madrid with 3 Champions League trophies. He is named as one of the best managers at present. With all of his talent as a manager, he has the ego to get more trust from Pérez, instead, the president didn’t acknowledge his great achievement as a manager. These circumstances make him choose to find the new challenge.

Many people who close to him said that Zidane has enough of Real Madrid and he did not consider taking another managerial job at Santiago Bernabeu in the future. He chooses to show to the public that he leaving the club because of the lack of trust and not because he burns out like many headlines in the Spanish newspapers. The open letter is the way of Zidane’s self-defense from many critics from the media.

The open letter might also be a strong statement that he did not require a break from football and eager to come back to the sideline as soon as possible. For this reason, he might need to wait for long since his former club Juventus already appointed Massimo Allegri as the new manager for the next seasons. The job as France National Team Manager is not expected since Didier Deschamp has proved his capacity by taking the World Cup trophy back to France for the first time since 1999. The possible opportunity for him is to come back to his home country, France if Pocchetino chooses to go back to Tottenham. Even though PSG might not suit well with Zidane, however, the France capital-based club will offer Zidane an opportunity to manages the European top sides.

The other scenario that surface is the possibilities that Zidane want to take down Pérez from his position as Real Madrid president. In the last couple of years in his role as a president, Pérez made the unpopular decision that leads Madrid to a lot of depts and also the European Super League things that reap controversy from the world of football. With all the current circumstances, now is the best time to changes the president. After Pérez is gone, the new president can re-appoint Zidane as Real Madrid manager and give him the amount of respect and trust that he deserved.

There are many possibilities behind Zidane’s decision to wrote an open letter to show how poor Real Madrid treat him after many success stories that he gave to Real Madrid in his time manages the team. After all, Zinedine Zidane is a master of strategy, the open letter must be a part of another masterstroke that he plans with a cool head and many considerations.
