Steve Jobs allegedly delayed his surgery to remove the tumor for nine months after diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer in 2003. During that period, he uses alternative medicine to treat his cancer. Then the question is, did the treatment have causing his death?

Steve Jobs was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor, a kind of pancreatic cancer. This kind of pancreatic cancer is less deadly than the most frequent kind, adenocarcinoma. Adenocarcinomas develop faster than neuroendocrine tumors. This implies that patients do not have to rush to treatments. The time it takes for people to decide on therapy is not as short as it is for adenocarcinoma.

It is allowed for someone to opt to postpone surgery for a while. This fact suggests that Steve Jobs’ reported decision to postpone his treatment was not as poorly as some have suggested. Some analysts believe that Steve Jobs’ adoption of alternative medicine practices may have aided his general health. Jobs lived for another eight years following his diagnosis. A person with a metastatic neuroendocrine tumor has a two-year average life expectancy. Many others feel Steve Jobs must have refocused his healthcare efforts. To perform as well as he did, he must have done many things correctly.

The treatments like meditation, acupuncture, and exercise are recommended to use in conjunction with regular cancer therapies to enhance health and lessen side effects, including exhaustion, chronic pain, and sleep issues. However, it would never be recommended to treating cancer only with alternative medicine.
